When Wild Nothing's Gemini first came out scores of my friends and I became obsessed with the record. It's no secret that there are hundreds of bands right now going back to the early days of recorded pop music, using fuzzy tones to cull only the best memories of summers past; but I think many will agree that few do it quite so well as Wild Nothing. Bella Union and Captured Tracks have just announced that they'll be releasing his follow up LP, Nocturne, on August 27 (UK) and August 28 (US), respectively. "Shadow" is the first single from the record, as well as the first track on the record, and it hints at a possible wider exploration of emotion through this classic style of pop music. Sweeping string synths are perfectly arranged around vocals so warm and comfortable that they'll likely leave you floating in the same way that the vox themselves float across the track. Stay tuned after the jump for a full tracklisting of Nocturne as well as a list of US Summer tour dates for Wild Nothing, a good number of which are with Beach House.

Stream: Wild Nothing - Shadow Nocturne drops August 27 via Bella Union. You can also catch "Shadow" in 7" single treatment on June 26 via Captured Tracks and August 6 via Bella Union, b/w non-album track "Feel You Now".
