It's hard not to like a group like Seapony. Their mix of energetic yet simple surf riffs and cheerful imagery hearkens back to old 90's twee groups like The Softies and Tiger Trap, back when singing about puzzles and snowflakes was punker that punk. They've just released a new track "What You Wanted" from their upcoming second album Falling on Sub Pop affiliate Hardly Art, and it's everything we've come to love from the band. In both our current warmer months and come the album's release in September, when the weather starts to get cold and we shutter up indoors, Seapony's music will remain a pleasant escape into the twee-est of twee realms.
