Cotton Flower

Brooklyn-based record label and art collective Famous Class just released the second 7" split single in their ongoing LAMC series. The LAMC series was launched in memory of Ariel Panero, a friend and partner in the Famous Class collective, and "the series gets its name from the epic Less Artists More Condos concerts that Ariel threw, showcasing amazing bands in some strange and unique venues." For each record, they ask one of their favorite artists/bands to contribute an unreleased track for the A-side, and then that band asks one of their favorite emerging artists to provide the B-side song. It's a great concept, and the first three (of six) releases in the series have already proven themselves to be awesome. This second installment features an exclusive track from Future Islands, with two tracks from Ed Shrader's Music Beat on the B-side; all three tracks are idiosyncratic and oddly mesmerizing. Additionally, 100% of the proceeds from digital sales will be benefitting the Ariel Panero Memorial Fund at VH1 Save the Music.
